Character Appearance/Attributes

When choosing and designing your character, you will be able to choose from:

Name - Fifteen letters max. Name of character or player.
Race - Galka, Hume, Mithra, Tarutaru and Elvaan.
Gender - Male or female, this attribute only applies to Hume, Tarutaru and Elvaan.
Home Country - The player can choose his/her home country, from Windurst, San D'Oria and Bastok.
Body Type - Three types to choose from, from small to large.
Face Type - Four types to choose from, from various different shapes.
Hair Colour - Various different hair colours to choose from.
Jobs - The player can set primary and secondary jobs for the character with this option.

Races:

Tank races - The Tank races are the ones suited for fighting. There are three tank races; the Mithra, Galka and Elvaan.
Genders - Two races, the Mithra and the Galka can only be played as one gender; the Mithra can only be female, and the Galka can only be male.


Elvaan
The Elvaan have above average Strength, Vitality and Mind stats, and are suited to an offensive player who will be in many battles. The Elvaan race reside in San D'Oria and they are one of three Tank races. They are a noble people, who will fight to the death for Vana'Diel's safety.

TaruTaru
The TaruTaru are a 'cute' race, who are one of the Tank races, they are cat-like, small people. Their offensive power is in their ability to use magic. This race is suited for the back row in battle, and for using magic on the enemy. They live in the Federation of Windurst, hence their skill with magic.


Mithra
This race is the 'cutest' of all. They are smaller, and more agile than the TaruTaru , and can only be played as a female. The male Mithra are non-playable, and remain in Windurst - The TaruTaru's home - for the entirety of the game. The Mithra are a very fast race, they have very high Dexterity and Agility, but are somewhat lacking in the area of Intelligence, although this is made up for by their high Strength stat. Mithra make good thieves.

Hume
The 'all purpose' race, the Hume are versatile, and have average stats for any desired jobs. The Hume live in the Republic of Bastok, and are a popular race. Their appearance is similar to that of a human.


Galka
The Galka race can only be played as males. They have very high Strength and Vitality, but have low speed and Intelligence. The Galka also live in Bastok. They are a Tank race, and slay enemies using brute force, and therefore, are perfect for fighting in the front. Galka are suited to become Warriors or Monks.
